Abandoned

It is really sad to see how many abandoned railway stations there are in our country. For me it is the ultimate statement of the deterioration of our infrastructure and deterioration of our country as a whole.

Waiting for the train
To take away my pain
Standing by my lonesome
I fear it will never come

Waiting on the railway station
Now an abandoned destination
The trains have gone
Into a forgotten dawn

Only skeletons remain...
